Beech Trees Ketubah

This ketubah is a collage, based on the 1902 painting "Beech Forest" by Gustav Klimt. The autumn landscape is a tapestry of the cycle of life.

Ben Shahn Ketubah

Inspired by Ben Shahn, this design is a traditional approach, using ancient techniques and alternative methods. The Hebrew is from the song "Od Yeshoma" - "...the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride..."

Circe Ketubah

The artist has selected five unique designs from a series of eighteen panels, each created with an abstract expressionist composition of mixed media. They represent a journey into self-discovery: the river of consciousness with paths crossing eternally, creating the male and female form, celebrating the physical and ethereal.

Harmony Ketubah

Harmony is produced as a collage on paper and represents a combination and variation of works by the great Cubists, Picasso, Braque and Gris. The letter "nun" is a kabbalistic symbol for harmony. Music, wine, and food remind us "how beautiful and how pleasant is love from all pleasures."

Hibiscus Ketubah

Hibiscus flowers, based on modern Chinese watercolors and ink washes, represent beauty and sweetness in nature. A quote from the Song of Songs, "He hath brought me to the banqueting-house and his banner over me is love" is hand-written in English edging the composition.

Ithaca Ketubah

The artist has selected five unique designs from a series of eighteen panels, each created with an abstract expressionist composition of mixed media. They represent a journey into self-discovery: the river of consciousness with paths crossing eternally, creating the male and female form, celebrating the physical and ethereal. This print is accented with silver leafing.

Peacocks Ketubah

Peacocks symbolize fidelity and the strength and beauty of the bride and groom. The style and technique used are based on modern Chinese watercolors and ink washes.

Penelope Ketubah

The artist has selected five unique designs from a series of eighteen panels, each created with an abstract expressionist composition of mixed media. They represent a journey into self-discovery: the river of consciousness with paths crossing eternally, creating the male and female form, celebrating the physical and ethereal. This print is accented with silver leafing.

Persian Lions Ketubah

A more traditional approach, with a modern edge, best describes this composition. Traditional materials were used to create an "old-world" design. Two lions and a crown adorn the huppah, framing the document.

Proposal Ketubah

Based on the free-flowing style of Marc Chagall, "Proposal" depicts a man and a woman, ethereally leaping through life"s moments as time stands still. The yellow background captures an instant of declaration, love, happiness, exhilaration and acceptance.

Sunrise Ketubah

Life begins as one. Based on the whimsical art of Chagall, the wedding scene imparts a feeling of both the past and present.

Tallit Ketubah

Inspired by Henri Matisse, "Tallit" is a collage of hand-painted paper. The colorful, leaf-like show of seasons reflects a garden wedding. A man and woman, shaped from the same block of paper, is symbolic of the bride and groom beneath the huppah. Bands of color form the tallit which covers the huppah.

Telemachus Ketubah

The artist has selected five unique designs from a series of eighteen panels, each created with an abstract expressionist composition of mixed media. They represent a journey into self-discovery: the river of consciousness with paths crossing eternally, creating the male and female form, celebrating the physical and ethereal. This print is accented with gold leafing.

The 10 Commandments Ketubah

This mixed media ketubah, in the abstract Expressionist style, depicts Mount Sinai as Moses delivers the Ten Commandments. Present are the Twelve Tribes. The ketubah text is super-imposed over the painting.

The Embrace Ketubah

Based on a combination of drawings by Egon Schiele. Fluid and organic, a rainbow encloses the bride and groom, with every color vividly conveying a primal energy, with the emotion of affection and love. The Song of Songs emerges beneath, symbolic of flesh, body, and sensuality."

The Kiss Ketubah

Homage to Klimt: The Kiss. In tribute to Gustave Klimt's great work of the Art Nouveau Period, a moment in time is captured as lovers embrace. The vignette evokes great emotion as they declare their love for each other. The Hebrew words, "His left hand is under my head and his right arm embraces me," from the Song of Songs is inscribed in gold.

Tree of Life Ketubah

Homage to Klimt: Tree of Life. Inspired by Gustave Klimt, the Tree of Life symbolizes the continuous, spiraling branches of family, love and life. The tree is set in swirls of golden sky adorned by flowers, fruits and leaves. The ketubah text is super-imposed over the artwork.

Under the Huppah Ketubah

Composition in Blue: Under the Huppah. This ketubah is in the style of an abstract Expressionist painting using mixed media. "Ani l'dodi v'dodi li" (I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine) is etched beneath the golden Huppah in Hebrew lettering.

Untitled Black Ketubah

A traditional approach and the traditional materials used in this composition create an "old-world" design. A combination of the lions and the rising sun, popular symbols of Persia during the 1800's, the document is framed with quatrefoils, leaves, and birds.

Untitled Red Ketubah

A traditional approach and the traditional materials used in this composition create an "old-world" design. A combination of the lions and the rising sun, popular symbols of Persia during the 1800's, the document is framed with quatrefoils, leaves, and pitchers. The Hebrew is from the song "Od Yeshoma" - "...the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride..."

Wandering Rocks Ketubah

The artist has selected five unique designs from a series of eighteen panels, each created with an abstract expressionist composition of mixed media.     Waterlilies is a mixed media based on the works of Claude Monet, Roy Lichtenstein, and Eric Carle's collages. A Japanese garden bridge, clouds, and willows reflect over waterlilies and lotus flowers.
